The buzz is back
Manchester United are on a roll and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is gathering momentum. Conor McGregor is in his element.
United have now won eight games on the spin since the Norwegian was appointed as caretaker manager in December, after Jose Mourinho parted ways with the 20-time league champions.
Solskjaer and assistant manager Mike Phelan have instilled a sense of belief and attacking freedom in a side that often appeared to be playing with the handbrake on, and three flat tyres, for the past five and a half seasons. They are well off the pace for a tilt at the league title but the Champions League and FA Cup are still up for grabs, as is a top three league finish.
United knocked Arsenal out of the FA Cup on Friday night with a well deserved 3-1 victory, to march on to the fifth round. Watching that game was long-time United fan Conor McGregor.

‘The Notorious’ has been supporting United since back in the mid-90s, when Alex Ferguson took his champion side to The Dell and was so unimpressed by their first-half display that he sent them back out for the second half in different jerseys.
McGregor, like many United fans, is enjoying the reversal in the club’s fortunes and the fact that they are going out with attacking intent. Following the game, he posted:

Indeed, Solskjaer told reporters after United’s win that the likes of Ryan Giggs, Ji Sung Park and Cristiano Ronaldo had all travelled to London in the past and damaged Arsenal with swift counter-attacks. That is what the United boss encouraged the likes of Jesse Lingard, Paul Pogba, Alexis Sanchez and more to do at The Emirates, and it worked a treat.
After one fan shared that picture of the Dubliner in the two-tone grey United jersey, it sparked this response:
