Conor McGregor confirms next move

No Pacquiao, no Malignaggi, no WWE.

Conor McGregor has confirmed that he wants his next fight to take place in the UFC, after taking over a year away from the Octagon. McGregor's last fight under the UFC banner came in November 2016, when he made history in New York City by becoming the first fighter in the organisation's history to hold a title in two different weight classes simultaneously. While he has since parted ways with the featherweight crown, 'The Notorious' remains the UFC lightweight king but he has yet to defend his title, deciding instead to spend the first half of 2017 preparing for a boxing debut against Floyd Mayweather and spending the last few months of the year enjoying the fruits of that labour. A move to welterweight, albeit unadvised, could also take place and then there are the host of boxers looking to clash with McGregor as the likes of Manny Pacquiao, Paulie Malignaggi and Oscar De La Hoya have all made clear their desire to fight him.
