Bad news for anybody hoping to see Conor McGregor compete at WrestleMania 34

Dana White has insisted that there is no truth to this week's suggestions of a WWE debut for Conor McGregor at WrestleMania 34.

Reports that 'The Notorious' was set to swap the Octagon for the squared circle at next April's WWE event in Louisiana did the rounds in recent days, with the Sun first to hint at the huge coup for Vince McMahon. But UFC President White has rubbished the rumours and didn't even allow Good Day New York presenter Sukanya Krishnan to get the full question out before announcing that there was nothing to the claims. On his screen were short messages from the WWE Chairman and CEO which read "News to me," and "It might be a good idea someday, but not now." Next up for the 29-year-old is likely one of two options. He will either clash with rival Nate Diaz for a third time in what would represent the most profitable bout on the table or else he will legitimise his 155lbs title with a unification meeting with newly crowned interim champ, Tony Ferguson. "Nobody has talked about Diaz. Diaz has never been talked about. That's internet bullshit," White said after UFC 216 this past weekend. "Tony's the interim champion. Conor 's the champion.
