Conor McGregor hits back at CEO of Mayweather Promotions on social media
Conor McGregor has an uncanny talent for ramping up interest in rematches even if he lost convincingly the first time around
Despite tapping out to a Nate Diaz rear naked choke at UFC 196, McGregor managed to turn the second clash with his Stockton rival into one of the biggest fights in UFC history.
UFC president Dana White expects McGregor to get another shot at Khabib Nurmagomedov in 2019 despite the dominant performance from the undefeated Russian last October.
And McGregor is now taking shots at former foe Floyd Mayweather, who stopped the Irishman in the 10th round of his boxing debut in 2017, possibly in the hope of setting up a lucrative rematch with the 50-0 great.
In the aftermath of Mayweather's first round TKO victory over Japanese kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa in an absurd exhibition bout on New Year's Eve, McGregor dismissed Mayweather's easy payday in Tokyo on Twitter, writing: "That 9 milli won't keep you on top of my list for long, kid."
Champ, champ with all due respect I don’t think you want that smoke again💯 https://t.co/IOH2AWCPDj

Mayweather Promotions CEO Leonard Ellerbe responded to 'The Notorious' by claiming that McGregor would be unwise to pursue a second clash with the unbeaten 41-year-old.
McGregor hit back at Ellerbe, whom he got to know very well during the promotional world tour for MayMac, by suggesting that all Mayweather has got going for him at this stage in his career is his gentleman's club in Las Vegas.
I’m the one with the flamethrower, Leonard.
Call me Elon.
Your guys got nothing but
And there they call him John.
