Chelsea could be about to lose another signing to a rival

It's happened again.

Chelsea have had a mixed transfer window. The Premier League champions added to their squad with Alvaro Morata, Antonio Rudiger and Tiemoue Bakayoko, but sold Nemanja Matic to Manchester United and, so far, have been unable to sell Diego Costa. The Spain striker is at home in his native Brazil, and refusing to return to Chelsea as he holds out for a return to Atletico Madrid. Antonio Conte's side could still add to their squad with Danny Drinkwater and Ross Barkley, but this window could be remembered by the players they lost and missed out on. Chelsea were linked with a move for Romelu Lukaku before the striker joined Manchester United, and earlier this week agreed a fee with Arsenal for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. However, the player turned down Chelsea and signed for Liverpool and it now appears they're about to be snubbed again. Fernando Llorente could be about to join Tottenham Hotspur from Swansea City, after the clubs agreed a deal worth £15m for the Spanish striker. Chelsea are also interested in the 32-year-old, who scored an impressive 15 goals for the Swans last season as they avoided relegation. They are understood to have made a bid for Llorente, but have been outbid by Spurs. The striker is currently undergoing a medical at the club. The BBC's David Ornstein reports that Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino is "trying to convince" Llorente to join Spurs rather than Chelsea. The Spaniard worked with Conte at Juventus during the 2013/14 season.
