However, Matić's shoes proved too big to fill and Bakayoko struggled to get into form at Stamford Bridge. A lowlight that stands out was his horror show against Watford, when he picked up two yellow cards in quick succession was consequently sent off, allowing Chelsea to improve and grow into the game more despite being a man down.
