Champions League final: Liverpool and Tottenham announce starting lineups

Kick-off is fast approaching in Madrid

Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur have announced their starting lineups ahead of the 2019 Champions League final.

Jürgen Klopp’s side, who lost last year’s final to Real Madrid in Kiev, start the game at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium as favourites.

Though Roberto Firmino was an injury concern ahead of the game, the Brazilian has been named as a starter, joining Mo Salah and Sadio Mane in Liverpool’s attack.

The big news for Tottenham ahead of their first ever Champions League final is that Mauricio Pochettino has opted to start Harry Kane.

The England international had missed the final weeks of the season with an ankle injury picked up the quarter final first leg win over Manchester City but has been given the nod to start after proving his fitness in recent days.

Lucas Moura, whose hat-trick saw Spurs beat Ajax in the semi-final, drops to the bench.
