In case you didn't know, this year marks the 50th anniversary of Celtic's famed 'Lisbon Lions' winning the European Cup at the Estádio Nacional in Portugal on 25 May 1967. They defeated the mighty Inter Milan two goals to one, and famously, all but one of the 15 man squad were born within 10 miles of Celtic Park (Bobby Lennox was born 30 miles away in Saltcoats).
It was a unique achievement and the first ever European Cup triumph by a British club. To mark the anniversary, Celtic and New Balance are launching a special new home kit for next season - and it's an absolute beauty. The famous green and white hoops are as simple and faithful to the original design as can be, whilst gold trim adds a touch of class.
