This is sad news.
Carlos Alberto, the former Brazil captain and scorer of one of the most famous goals of all-time, has died aged 72 on Tuesday afternoon after suffering a heart-attack.
RIP the captain, scorer of THAT goal (which alone gets him through the pearly gates), o grande Carlos Alberto Torres

Born in Rio de Janeiro in 1944, the defender went on to play for Fluminense, Santos and the New York Cosmos, and had a lengthy coaching career which saw him take charge of Corinthians and Botafogo in his native country. His final stint in the dugout was as Azerbaijan manager in 2005.
However, Carlos Alberto will always be remembered for his goal against Italy in the 1970 World Cup final.
The then 25-year-old captained Brazil to their third World Cup triumph in Mexico, in a team containing Pele, Jairzinho and Rivelino, and scored possibly the most famous goal of all-time in the final.
Storming forward from right-back in the dying minutes of the game, Carlos Alberto finished off a wonderful passing move from Brazil with a thunderous shot to give them a 4-1 victory over the Azzurri in Mexico City in front of over 100,000 in the stadium and millions watching at home.
