Immediately after Garry Monk was dismissed by Swansea City, reports emerged that Brendan Rodgers was the favourite to take over at the Liberty Stadium.

Rodgers, dismissed by Liverpool earlier in the season, left Swansea before taking the job at Anfield but is said to have stayed in contact with Huw Jenkins. rodgers Although Rodgers is thought to be a target to replace Monk, an article in The Times claims that the Northern Irishman is uncertain about a return to Wales. Instead, Rodgers could be a contender for the England job and is said to feature alongside the likes of Alan Pardew and Roberto Martinez on a list of potential successors to Roy Hodgson should he leave after Euro 2016. David Moyes is also in the frame for the Swansea job after recently being dismissed by Real Sociedad.
