Bookmakers make Chelsea favourites to sign Man United striker Wayne Rooney

But there's always that feeling that they might know something we mere mortals don't. With Wayne Rooney's poor run of form there was always going to be speculation linking him with a move away from Old Trafford. And Sky Bet think the most likely destination for the 30-year-old England forward is rivals Chelsea. We know that Rooney was close to switching to Stamford Bridge during David Moyes' reign in 2013. But Jose Mourinho could be interested in reigniting a move for the Three Lions talisman, who has netted just seven times in all competitions this season. While Chelsea frontman Diego Costa has been struggling with form, scoring just two goals in 10 games, Rooney's signature would be a coup for the Portuguese boss.
