However the words ‘clutching’, ‘straws’ and ‘are you for f**king real’ come to mind when reading the Metro’s straight-faced story linking the 28-year-old with a move to Real bloody Madrid…
The suggestion is that Real are keen to supplement their attacking options of Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and James Rodriguez with the former Stocksbridge Park Steels man.
