'Good evening, Lord Sugar'

BBC commentator Robyn Cowen bodied Lord Alan Sugar while commentating on England's Euros clash against Norway on Monday night, mocking him for his 'symbolic woman' tweet. The Lionesses ran riot against Norway at the American Express Community Stadium, winning 8-0 thanks to goals from Georgia Stanway, Lauren Hemp, Ellen White, Beth Mead and substitute Alessia Russo. During the game, BBC Sports football commentator Cowen took a comical swipe at Lord Sugar, which came after he slammed the lack of male commentators involved in the Women's Euros, slamming, what he perceives, as a lack of diversity. He tweeted: "I am watching the women football and notice that ALL the commentators are women. I also note when mens football is on there is a symbolic female commentator to cover the broadcasters a***. Should I complain there should me a male commentator in women's football." https://twitter.com/Lord_Sugar/status/1545841706800644097 Just before half time - with England comfortably winning 6-0 - Cowen briefly spoke about Arsenal Women's manager Jonas Eidevall, who was part of the BBC's coverage for the match. She said: "A lovely shot of one of our studio guests Jonas Eidevall... one of our symbolic men - good evening, Lord Sugar." https://twitter.com/maxrushden/status/1546583343659196417?s=20&t=bX1ff_qkbWGsjfcJ8oFSTg

How did social media react?

One Twitter user said: "Big grin when she said that - loving your work, Robyn". https://twitter.com/JimHearson/status/1546585179015286785 A second wrote: "Hahaha that cracked me up that line!" https://twitter.com/RichDevall/status/1546583511418785792 Another added: "Oh this will boil some piss", alongside a laughing emoji. https://twitter.com/DubOutWest/status/1546586751824691201 England's 8-0 triumph over Norway is a record scoreline. No team - men or women - has scored seven at a European Championship finals before. It beat the Lionesses own record, which in their 6-0 win over Scotland in 2017. Related links:
