But, not to be out-done, baseball got in on the act...in a big way.
This Alaska Baseball League game between the Peninsula Oilers and the Anchorage Bucs got a little heated.
But it wasn't the revved up players, it was the managers who were duking it out.
Bucs' manager Mike Grahovac was sent to the stands for protesting and on the way he got into a row with Oilers' coach Kevin Griffin.
It ended with two grown men punching each other. As our mums would say "they're bloody old enough to know better."
