Antoine Griezmann has a knack for important goals, but was denied what would have been a priceless one against Barcelona.

The France striker thought he had given Atlético Madrid a route back in to their Copa del Rey semi-final when he rifled a low shot beyond Jasper Cillessen, only to see a flag raised for offside? The only problem? Replays showed Griezmann was being played on by Gerard Piqué and the goal should have been allowed to stand. https://twitter.com/elfuera_dejuego/status/829084562366013441 Plenty of those watching were quick to point out that, not only was the Frenchman onside, but he was better than level. https://twitter.com/davidjaca/status/829077031170228224 https://twitter.com/hughwizzy/status/829077156982566912 Yannick Ferreira-Carrasco was sent off 10 minutes later and, while Kévin Gameiro brought the visitors level on the night late on, it was not enough to overturn Barcelona's 2-1 win at the Estadio Vicente Calderón in the first leg. Gameiro had also missed a penalty just minutes before finding the net. Barcelona's opponents in the final will be either Alavés or Celta Vigo, with the clubs due to play their semi-final tomorrow after a goalless first leg at Balaídos.
