Artem Lobov demands chance to claim revenge against Conor McGregor’s assailant

Let them fight!

Both sides of the UFC 229 melee seemingly agree on one thing.

Conor McGregor has refused to press charges against the individuals who attacked him in the Octagon following his defeat to Khabib Nurmagomedov on Saturday night.

Nurmagomedov has insisted that he will walk away from his UFC contract if teammate Zubaira Tukhugov, who bragged about punching McGregor in the cage, is cut from the roster.

And Artem Lobov is determined to see his fight with Tukhugov take place at the end of this month.

Lobov, McGregor’s long-time training partner, was scheduled to meet Tukhugov in the co-main event of UFC Moncton but the featherweight contest was seemingly scrapped as UFC President Dana White vowed to come down hard on Tukhugov.

‘The Russian Hammer’ has requested the opportunity to be the one to dole out Tukhugov’s punishment and if White decides to allow the fight to go ahead, security will have to be on high alert in New Brunswick as tempers continue to flare between the teams.

Lobov is believed to be the reason for the feud between McGregor and Nurmagomedov as he was cornered and slapped by the latter in the lead-up to UFC 223 in April.

It was that altercation at the fighter hotel which inspired McGregor to show up in New York City and attack a bus which was carrying Nurmagomedov and the red corner fighters.

The rest, as they say, is history.
