Gabriel Jesus, Leandro Trossard, and Fabio Vieira have moved on, with Gabriel Martinelli's record £55.7m departure to Saudi side Al-Hilal set to finalise before their deadline. 

The strategic rationale behind letting established fan favourites leave to fund elite reinforcements couldn't have been an easy decision all throughout the summer transfer window.

However, these changes could alter Mikel Arteta's tactical options for the title defence.

Defensive midfielder Christian Nørgaard signed for Everton in a £7 million deal after only playing 6 games for the London side.

Lastly, youngsters Tommy Setford and Ethan Nwaneri were sent out on loan for the season to Stevenage and Borussia Dortmund respectively.

However, Nwaneri will face his parent club as Dortmund will visit the Emirates Stadium in a Champions League draw, as UEFA has vetoed Arsenal contract clause that stipulates that Nwaneri cannot play against them.

Reiss Nelson has notably been released from the club after 17 years at the club, joining the youth club at 9 years of age and growing through the ranks until he found a first-team spot two seasons ago. 

As Gabriel Martinelli's departure is imminent, the club’s total Adieus will mount to 10 players, as the Brazilian will become Arsenal’s highest sale in club history.
