Arsenal have initiated discussions over the potential transfer of Fabian Ruiz with PSG, as per The Transfers Podcast.
During Euro 2024, the Spanish midfielder earned mass plaudits for exceptional performances and now the Gunners have expressed interest.
Scoring twice, providing two assists and leaving Germany with the elusive trophy, Ruiz was also named in the team of the tournament.
He's shown his true capabilities on the biggest international stage.
However, all things haven't been as rosy at club level.
Upon joining PSG from Napoli in 2022, he signed a contract until 2027.
Since then, he has not been a regular under Luis Enrique, only starting 21 matches in Ligue 1 and the Champions League.
If Ruiz is to join the Gunners, a certain condition must be met.
This is that Arsenal must move a midfielder out before the transfer could be possible.
It is possible that if they come to an agreement with PSG on a transfer fee, then the deal will be structured in a similar way as the one used to add David Raya to the ranks from Brentford.
This would be a loan with an obligation to buy a year later.
