Anthony Joshua’s answer to this interviewer asking about a fight in Nigeria is bloody hilarious

You’ll love Anthony Joshua even more after this. Superb.

There’s no denying that Anthony Joshua is a global superstar because his talent, skill and charisma could probably sell-out any venue around the world.

Watford, Wembley, Las Vegas, Cardiff. It doesn’t matter where the fight is, once he’s on the card.

There’s no end to the list of locations that Joshua could fill, and a large part of this is due to the fact that ‘AJ’ is one of the nicest men in the sport.

Hearing Joshua speak is refreshing because he refuses to engage in trash talking in order to boost his profile.

The WBA (Super), IBF, and IBO heavyweight champion is currently focusing on his upcoming bout against Kubrat Pulev at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, but ‘AJ’ undoubtedly has the talent to conquer the world.

Over the years, boxing fans have been treated to some epic fights that were held in all corners of the world – just think about the Thrilla in Manila, or the The Rumble in the Jungle as the prime examples- and during a recent interview, Joshua was asked about the prospect of fighting in Lagos, Nigeria.

At first, the interviewer is somewhat ‘down’ on this idea but during their chat, Joshua’s charm, demeanor and intelligence really come to the fore as he succinctly states that “in my humble opinion, you shouldn’t write anything off because as long as the fight is good, it doesn’t matter where it is. Fighting brings people together.”

The final minute of this interview though is bloody hilarious as Joshua jokingly ‘defends’ Nigeria and takes the mickey out of this ‘proper Cockney’ interviewer.

Great stuff!
