No fury left unanswered

Anthony Joshua has fired back at Tyson Fury after the heavyweight rivals reignited their long-running rivalry ahead of returning to the ring just hours apart.

Both fighters are set to compete in Thailand this week, with Fury facing Mariusz Wach on Friday before Joshua steps back into the ring against Kristian Prenga less than a day later.

The fight will mark Joshua’s return after a lengthy break, with the boxer also making his first appearance since being involved in a tragic car crash shortly after his previous bout.

With the pair sharing the spotlight once again, it did not take long for their usual trash talk to return.

Fury has often taken aim at Joshua’s physique over the years, repeatedly labelling him a “bodybuilder”.

While Joshua has normally ignored the comments, he decided enough was enough and finally responded.

“He’s always calling me a bodybuilder, always talking about my body,” AJ said. “I don’t know why he worries about it so much.”

“After our fights this weekend and even after we fight, I’ll help him sort his body out a bit better so he doesn’t have to worry so much about mine so much. Once we get our fights done, I’ll help with some training so he doesn’t look like ‘Greedy Belly’ anymore and they can call him Mr Bodybuilder instead.”

The two are also expected to settle their rivalry inside the ring later this year, with their long-awaited showdown reportedly planned for November.

However, no official date or location has been confirmed yet.

Madison Square Garden in New York has been suggested as a potential venue, although a final decision is still yet to be made.
