The pair are rumoured to be meeting in the ring later this year

Tyson Fury has continued his war of words with Anthony Joshua, by claiming the two-time unified heavyweight champion doesn’t know how to defeat him.

The Gypsy King also believes Joshua has a confidence issue that will ultimately hold him back in his career.

Joshua had stated he would knock Fury out, but the 32-year-old said his words “didn’t mean anything”.

Speaking to FOX Miami, Fury added:

“People say a lot of stuff and then don’t back it up. I’ll see if he’s got the guts to do it when I’m stood in the ring in front of him. I don’t believe he has.”

Fury then took a jab at a perceived lack of confidence in Joshua.

“I don’t think he’s as good as people crack him up to be, or he doesn’t believe he is, in his own self.

“He’s got a confidence issue. He’s coming off of two shaky performances. Momentum’s with me and I’ll take him out very early.”

For a while, a clash between the two biggest names in British heavyweight boxing has been rumoured. When Anthony Joshua recently dispatched with Kubrat Pulev, he was asked whether he would be interested taking on a fight with Tyson Fury.

Joshua said he would be willing to take on anyone – but didn’t specify Fury by name. The Gypsy King was more direct with his response, it’s fair to say.

Almost immediately after AJ stopped Pulev, Fury called Joshua out on Instagram.

“There you go everyone,” he began, “Anthony Joshua just s**t himself live on television.”

“He got asked did he want the fight and he went around the bushes and put his arse on the edge. I want the fight. I want the fight next. I’ll knock him out inside three rounds. He’s a big bum dosser and I can’t wait to knock him out.”

Fury even had Christmas t-shirts made which referred to Joshua – and promoter Eddie Hearn – as “bum dossers”.

Back in November, Fury told JOE that going bald should be embraced.
