Anderson Silva blames failed drug tests on (sexual) performance enhancing drugs

Anderson Silva is both a lover and a fighter, according to his legal team.

The former UFC middleweight champion is currently facing charges from the Nevada Athletic Commission for two failed drugs tests in January. But he claims the only performance he was trying to enhance was his sexual one. The Spider's lawyer says the former champ was 'administering or using a supplement for the purpose of enhancing sexual performance and testing of the supplement revealed that the supplement was contaminated with an Exogenous Anabolic Agent: Drostanolone metabolite.' As well as drostanolone metabolites, Silva also tested positive for androstane - another banned substance. The tests also found signs of temazepam and oxazepam - which are not prohibited if the fighter receives an exemption from the NAC, which Silva did not. The Brazilian is widely considered to be the best pound-for-pound fighter in the history of the sport and holds the record for most title defences (10) and most consecutive victories (16).
