Amir Khan has a shocking announcement to make in the next 10 days

Former light-welterweight world champion Amir Khan is on the comeback trail, apparently, and has teased some massive news which he hopes to make public next week. After an unexpected stint on reality TV show I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! towards the tail end of last year, Khan hopes to get back in the ring in the early months of 2018. Having taken a lengthy break from the sport after his devastating knockout defeat to Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez in May 2016, Khan is adamant that he will return and, if his tease is anything to go by, it will be a fascinating fight. "I haven't fought in the UK for seven years. A hand injury has kept Khan sidelined but, at the age of 31, there is still plenty of time to make some noise at 147lbs, the weight class at which he insists he will stay. Some eyebrows were raised about Khan's motivation to fight after he entered the jungle in November but he maintains that it was a cathartic experience which will ultimately help his career.
