'I'm delighted to be joining Rangers until the end of the season'
Rangers are delighted to have
Amad Diallo with them, too.
Signed from
Atalanta by
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, in a £37.2million deal, Diallo got off to a bright start at
Manchester United but has found first-team opportunities limited this season.
While much of the focus, this week, was on
Anthony Martial being loaned out to
Sevilla for the rest of the season, Diallo was packing his suitcase for a stint in less cosy climes. He has been brought in by Rangers boss
Giovanni van Bronckhurst until the end of the season.
"It is fantastic for me at this stage of my career," stated Diallo, "to have the opportunity to come to such a big club that is challenging on a number of fronts and will give me some excellent opportunities to test myself in many environments."
Tossed straight into the starting Rangers XI for their league encounter with Ross County, it did not take Diallo long to make an impact.

Rangers pressed County from the get-go and had already gone close once already when the opener arrived.
The reigning
Scottish Premiership champions broke down the left-wing and Joe Aribo fired in a low cross to the back post that Amad Diallo was there to slot home. It was simple but effective, and Rangers were flying.
Rangers started the day seven points ahead of cross-town rivals Celtic, albeit with a game in hand. Victory would keep the pressure on Celtic not to falter in their pursuit. They are up against Dundee United, while the Premiership's two other scheduled games were postponed due to poor weather conditions.
Diallo arrived at United in January 2021, having played just five first-team games for United. The 19-year-old attacker has played nine times for United, since then, and
scored in the Europa League, against AC Milan, in a 1-1 draw.
