Manchester United secured their place in the fifth round of the FA Cup this afternoon as they beat Huddersfield 2-0.

Romelu Lukaku scored both goals, finishing them well after breaking away from the opposition defenders with a burst of pace on both occasions.

It could have been 3-0 had Juan Mata’s goal not been ruled out by VAR, which caused a storm.

During the celebrations of the second goal, some young fans got onto the pitch. Overcome with joy at seeing one of their heroes score, they leapt beyond the advertising boards and celebrated with the players.

Seeing footballers and fans celebrate together is always nice, as too often stewards placed between away fans and the pitch are restrictive of limbs in the name of health and safety.

Thankfully there were no soulless stewards ready to drag the kids away from the players, as they joined in on the celebrations. The players were also welcoming to the fans, Alexis Sánchez in particular.

With no dogs around to pet, the Chilean forward embraced one of the young United fans as they celebrated Lukaku’s second goal in a heartwarming moment.

That child will never, ever want to take that jacket off.

Lukaku and Scott McTominay also joined in on the hugs.
