AIK to launch stunning limited edition 1891 White Edition shirt

AIK, ladies and gentlemen, have done it again... Hot on the heels of releasing their particularly lovely blackout kit last month, the Swedish champions are set to launch the stunning limited edition 1891 White Edition shirt this very weekend. Made by Nike, the all-white shirt celebrates AIK's founding year of 1891, which appears in gold in place of the club's main shirt sponsor. White has always been the colour of AIK's away shirt, but the use of gold is significant, too. Since the end of the 19th century, various details on the club's crest have been golden - earning them the nickname klubben med guldkant (the Club With Golden Lining). As with the already-released blackout shirts, only 128 White/Gold limited edition shirts will be produced, all of them presented in a premium white and gold box with a gold trim. Given that the black shirts sold out in just two minutes, demand is expected to be incredibly high when they go on sale. Pro:Direct Soccer will again be the exclusive partner for the 1891 White Edition shirt, as they were for AIK's blackout shirts last month. They will be available to buy from the club’s official store, aikshop.se, from 2pm GMT on Sunday 10th February 2019 and from prodirectsoccer.com at 10am Wednesday 13th February. AIK have also announced that all proceeds raised by these special edition shirts will be donated to local youth projects in Stockholm... Not that you needed any more reasons to consider trying to buy one.
