adidas to launch incredible ‘hand drawn’ kits including Arsenal and Man United

Wayne Farry

Hold on a second, these are quite nice

Football shirts are changing at the moment, sometimes for good, often for worse. But generally speaking, as we move to a stage where streetwear is increasingly on the minds of kit designers, we’re seeing offerings which you wouldn’t be ashamed to wear down the shops.

That’s where adidas’ new line of shirts comes in, though they may initially take some getting used to.

The shirts, part of the adidas x Pharrell Williams Humanrace range, effectively have the look of hand drawn designs, with cute if crudely drawn versions of the teams’ crests, and ‘Humanrace’ replacing some of the sponsors.

Each of the new kits is based on selections from years gone by, and the teams featured are Manchester United, Arsenal, Juventus, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.

Madrid teased theirs on Tuesday, and the good people at Footy Headlines have said that they expect the full range to drop tomorrow.

To be honest, we weren’t sure on these initially but having had a couple of minutes of staring intently at them, they’re actually pretty nice. The design on each is reminiscent of the kits they’re based on, but weird enough to catch the eye.

One for the kit nerds out there, but we imagine they’re going to go pretty quickly.
