Neither of the main characters in Peep Show are into football. This is quite often a gag in itself, as Mark desperately attempts to get closer to Sophie by discussing football with Jeff, and tries to gather information about Dobby by pretending he can play football. Always an ulterior motive, the fucking psychopath. But the show's creators did still manage to get several references to the beautiful game into the script, even if they went five years without one single reference.
