A Red Interpol Notice has been ordered for the arrest of a Labour MP.
A court in the capital of Bangladesh, Dhaka, has ordered for authorities to request the arrest of Labour MP Tulip Siddiq MP through Interpol, as reported by Guido Fawkes.
Siddiq has been convicted multiple times while in absentia by courts in Bangladesh for 'corruption in the acquisition of property'.
The MP for Hampstead and Highgate has always denied the allegations against her, labelling the accusations as a “complete farce".
She added that she is a British citizen, not a Bangladeshi national.

Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Md. Sabbir Faiz issued the order after a request was filed by the Bangladesh Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).
Siddiq's auntie is a powerful figure in the country, being the former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina who herself is also involved in three other corruption cases.
Hasina was ousted in 2024 in a student-led uprising, ending her 15-year rule.
She has been exiled in India since.
The ACC claims that Siddiq is using her connection to Hasina to influence the awarding of land to a private company in the Gulshan area of Dhaka.
Siddiq is yet to react to the order.
The MP was Economic Secretary to the Treasury before stepping down in January 2025 due to pressure relating to her ties to Hasina.
Siddiq said she had been cleared of wrongdoing but was quitting her cabinet role because the issue was becoming “a distraction from the work of the government.”
Currently on the Interpol website there are 6,458 live Red Notices.
The aim of the site is to notify police forces across the globe about internationally wanted fugitives and request that they are arrested pending extradition.
Just because a request is filed, does not mean it will be accepted by Interpol.
Currently there is not notice on the site for the Labour MP.
