Nigel Farage has won the Clacton by-election comfortably ahead of 33 other candidates mostly there for a laugh after the major parties boycotted the vote.
We all know the story by now, Farage stepped down from his seat claiming he wanted to fight an election "against the establishment" although also conveniently pausing a parliamentary investigation into an undeclared £5m gift he received from Christopher Harborne.
Despite this, it is expected that the investigation will continue, and if the Reform leader is not cleared, he could be removed from his seat and have to fight another by-election.
In the midst of this political circus, a new household name emerged, Count Binface.
The satirical character has evolved from being just there to make up the numbers to becoming the actual opposition to the favourite.
In true Nigel Farage fashion, he did not attend the Clacton by-election count, saying: "I am damned if I am going to stand on a stage, having won a resounding victory... and be demeaned and humiliated by nobodies."
Meanwhile, Reform said police advised against Farage attending, with the BBC reporting that the police refute this claim.
Essex Police said in a statement: "We have a proportionate and robust policing operation to ensure the safety and security of all participants in the count."
Binface managed the second most votes in this election with 9,455.
Farage more than doubled this with 22,239.
