The Culture Secretary had to call for security to intervene
Nadine Dorries had her interview with Sky News cut short today after a man became aggravated off-camera.
The Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport was talking to media in Birmingham ahead of the Commonwealth Games, which gets underway today.
In earlier interviews, she had been keen to distract from the recent furore surrounding the Conservative Party by drawing attention to the games and the recent England Lionesses’ success.
She seemed less than keen to tackle questions from Ben Shephard and Ranvir Singh on Good Morning Britain, and also deflected Kay Burley when asked about Boris Johnson’s demise on Sky News.
And so it begins. Shameless politicians basking in the success of the @Lionesses and using it to deflect from uncomfortable questions pic.twitter.com/DeEacIGM0H

#KayBurley – To what extent do you blame Rishi Sunak for Boris Johnson's demise?

Dorries was given a helping hand when her interview with Burley had to be cut short due to some off-camera commotion.
A man appeared clearly agitated over claims that a cameraman had “touched him”.
Dorries called for security and was then quickly whisked off shot as the situation escalated.
This was my favourite part… not sure why @SkyNews didn’t cut away quicker… 🙈 pic.twitter.com/LUgOL0TNRm
