A job posting has appeared on the civil service website that will send chills down the spine of any self-respecting and full-blooded Brexiteer.

They’re hiring for a “Band B2 – policy adviser – electoral campaigning and referendums (Ref: 3708).” Dun dun dun.

The post is not publicly available but is visible to those already working in the civil service. Still. Be afraid, very afraid. There can be no doubt that the deep state is gearing up to overturn the 2016 referendum result.

No doubt at all.

Prepare for battle with the elites.

Fortunately some kind soul has posted the full job spec up on Imgur.

We are told the Elections Division is “a welcoming and inclusive team in the Cabinet Office.”

Their work includes “how elections are run, who can participate and how elections and campaigning are regulated.” Given Vote Leave was recently found to have broken electoral law, it’s understandable the Electoral Division might have a lot on their plate and need a few extra bods. It is “a small busy team” according to the description.

Issues covered by the applicant include: “how much candidates and campaigners can spend in elections and referendums; restrictions on who candidates and campaigners can accept donations from; the powers and sanctions of the Electoral Commission; and the rules under which referendums are held.”

So, in essence, stopping the Russians fucking with our democracy. Godspeed Band B2 – policy adviser – electoral campaigning and referendums (Ref: 3708). Godspeed.
