The woman who claimed she was Madeleine McCann has revealed her plans after DNA test results showed she was not the missing Brit.
Julia Wendell, who is also known by the names Julia Faustyna and Julia Wandelt, went viral in February after sharing what she claimed as “evidence” on Instagram that she is the girl who went missing in Praia da Luz in 2007.
The 21-year-old, who would be two years older than Maddie, has said she does not remember large chunks of her childhood, or the moment she was supposedly taken.
Julia took a DNA test to try and find out more about her identity, and on Tuesday Dr Fia Johansson, a private investigator and medium who has been helping Julia, revealed that the results showed she was "100 percent" Polish.
Dr Johansson told RadarOnline: “She is absolutely 100 percent from Poland.
“She is a small percentage of Lithuanian and Russian but the test results show she is Polish."
Following the news, Dr Johansson explained what Wendell has decided to do.
She said: "Upon revelation, she decided to be back with her dad.
"I personally wish her well."
But Dr Johansson was critical of Wendell's parents, defending her and claiming the story is "much more complicated" than people might think.
She explained: "This story is much more complicated than a simple girl from a small town in Poland making a claim to get attention.
"She truly believed what she was saying, and with so many questions about her childhood it is easy to understand where she was coming from."
"What is amazing is Julia's parent's refusal to resolve this nagging question for Julia. A simple DNA test by parents would have resolved many questions for Julia."
Dr Johansson recently revealed how much money her and Wendell had made, following their appearance on the US TV show 'Dr Phil'.
