Woman tracks and kills boyfriend using Apple AirTags

She tracked him down to a bar and grill before running him over with her car

A woman from Indiana has been charged with murder after she allegedly followed a man she claimed was her boyfriend to a bar using Apple AirTags before running him over with her car.

Gaylyn Morris, 26, was arrested on Friday after reportedly following the man, Andre Smith, to a bar and grill by using an Apple AirTag: a GPS tracking system which uses the company’s Find My software to locate devices.

Suspecting Smith of cheating, Morris proceeded to track him to Tilly’s Pub in North East Indianapolis and, according to her own statement, attempted to attack the other woman he was with with an empty wine bottle.

The three were asked to leave around 12:30am but the other woman – who Morris claims her partner was cheating on her with – stayed inside to wait for her food order as Smith exited the establishment.

Despite having ultimately been able to stop the initial assault, as witnesses reported to the likes of Fox News – upon leaving the premises, Morris intentionally ran over Smith with her car and Marion County Coroner’s Office confirmed that he died as a result of his injuries.

According to a probably cause affidavit shown in court, Morris “pulled forward and clipped the victim, and he went down, at which time… [Morris] then backed over him and then pulled forward and hit him for the third time”.

Morris was charged with murder but is said that Marion County Prosecutor’s Office will determine her final charges, according to the local outlet, Indy Star.
