She is in a critical condition because of the ‘life-threatening’ injuries
A woman in Australia is fighting for life after losing both her legs and an arm in a gruesome machinery accident.
The woman, aged in her 60s, is believed to have been using a tractor with a slasher when the accident occurred in Balladean, Queensland, at about midday on Thursday.
The woman had been riding the tractor when she was thrown from the vehicle in a crash.
The tractor and slasher then ran her over.
She was alone on the property but was able to call emergency services despite her “life-threatening” injuries, Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman Stephen Johns told 9News.
She was flown from the property in the state’s southwest to receive treatment in Brisbane’s Princess Alexandra Hospital.

“The victim received significant multiple trauma to her limbs but was conscious and able to talk to paramedics, who were able to stabilise the lady,” Johns said.
“I’ve never seen or heard of anything like this. It’s just a miracle she had enough sense to be able to get onto that phone really quickly and get that help to her.
“Otherwise it would be an absolute tragedy here today.”
The woman remains in a critical condition as Workplace Health and Safety officers investigate the incident.
A forensic crash investigation has been launched by Queensland police.
