Wimbledon champion Carlos Alcaraz returns home to flat above kebab shop

At just 20-years-old, Murcia's own, Carlos Alcaraz Garfia, is ranked as the world number one in men's tennis.

He has won twelve singles titles, two majors, and four masters.

At age 19, Alcaraz became the youngest man in history to top the singles rankings and the first teenager in the Open Era to do so.

And now he has defeated the four time defending champion Novak Djokovic at Wimbledon, to claim yet another first for the young, and ridiculously talented Spaniard.

Not only did he succeed in finding victory against Djokovic, he also made even more history by becoming the first man outside of the legendary ‘big four’ - Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Djokovic and Andy Murray - to win the tournament since 2002.

Following a sketchy first set in which Djokovic dominated, Alcaraz fought back and eventually won over five sets scored 1-6 7-6 6-1 3-6 6-4, ending Djokovic’s 10-year unbeaten streak on Centre Court.

However, just where does Alcaraz go when the lights on centre court fade away? Well, according to numerous reports, when he does indeed get a break from tennis, Alcaraz goes back home, to his parent's humble flat situated above a kebab shop in El Palmar, near Murcia in southern Spain.

Alcaraz is now worth around an estimated £18 million and claimed a whopping £2.34m at Wimbledon, however footage has shown the young star trudging back towards his family home just days after picking up the biggest win of his career to date.

Alcaraz apparently chooses to stay in the family home above a Turkish Kebab and Pizza place when he's in between tournaments resulting in many online spectators to call Alcaraz 'the most humble sportsman'.

And his home people certainly won't be forgetting Alcaraz anytime soon, with a huge mural being painted in his honour in the town.
