To no one's surprise, Donald Trump has wholeheartedly embraced being hailed 'Daddy' at the NATO summit yesterday (June 25).
A video shared by the White House's Instagram account shows the US President arriving in the Netherlands and meeting other world leaders to raise defence spending to 5% of GDP.
World leaders at the NATO summit discussed topics such as Putin's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Israel's war on Iran and the possibility of attacks on a Nato member in the future.
However, the edit posted by the White House was drastically less serious than the points discussed during the summit.
Instead of an informative reflection of what took place in the Netherlands, the video shared on social media is more along the likes of a TikTok edit.
Usher's 2010 song 'Daddy's Home' was used as the soundtrack, following Rutte's comment yesterday.
When asked about Israel's attack on Iran, Trump compared the nations to "two kids in a schoolyard", saying that "they fight like hell, you can't stop them".
He added: "Let them fight for about two, three minutes. Then it’s easier to stop them," per Metro.
This led to NATO's Secretary General Mark Rutte joking: "Then daddy has to sometimes use strong language to get them to stop."
Rutte was referring to the shocking moment yesterday when Trump raised his voice at reporters in front of the White House: “They don’t know what the f*** they’re doing.”
Trump's four-lettered tantrum was primarily aimed at Israel, which on Tuesday gave the appearance of an ally that had reeled him into the fight.
Additionally, it sparked doubts about Trump's influence over Israeli actions, per Sky News.
If this process is to result in nuclear negotiations between the US and Iran, Trump doesn't need questions surrounding his relationship with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Tehran needs to believe Trump is in control.
