The soap star is a ‘household name’
A well-known soap star has been arrested on suspicion of rape.
The man, who has not been named, reportedly raped a woman at a property in London in December.
The actor is 25-year-old and reportedly a household name.
The assault allegedly occurred in South London on December 30.
The woman, aged in her 20s, is receiving specialist support following the incident.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson confirmed to Metro that an investigation is underway.
“A woman in her 20s reported she was raped. Specially trained officers continue to offer support to the victim.”
No charges have been laid at this time, but investigations are ongoing.
The actor’s co-stars are reportedly “reeling” following the news.
A source told The Sun, “This has sent shockwaves through the soap he works on. It has left people reeling. It’s a very serious allegation.”
The man has been released on bail until April.
