Legendary British actress, Lorraine Cheshire, has died.
Cheshire, who was known for her roles in Early Doors, Waterloo Road, and Trollied was aged 65.
Her husband announced the heartbreaking news in a post on Facebook.
"The love of my life passed away early this morning 46 years, and now my heart is broken. To the green fields beyond," he wrote.
Cheshire came to acting later in life than most, attending Arden Drama School at the age of 35 when her husband was made redundant from the army.
Her first role was starring as Jo Warren in the BBC series The Cops
She also had a small role in Phoenix Nights and later in Fat Friends, Clocking Off, and Holby City.
Her first main role was as Joan in Early Doors.
Later, Cheshire had the recurring role of Fleur Budgen in Waterloo Road from 2007-2012.
Tributes have poured in for the star from former colleagues and industry friends.
Her Trollied co-star Chanel Cresswell wrote: "I can’t quite believe I’m writing this. I’ll always cherish the advice you gave and the most wonderful friendship. The naughty laughs we had. The memories we shared.
"Lozza thank you for being a friend to me. I’ll miss you so so much. I’m shocked, and so so sad. You was one of a kind. Rest in peace."
Her Early Doors co-star Christine Bottomley wrote 'no words today' alongside a photo of Cheshire shared to her Instagram story.
Anthony Crank wrote: "Just heard the horrific news that beautiful Lorraine has passed over. One of the kindest, funniest, beautiful and caring souls I ever had the privilege to know.
"My heart goes out to John and all that knew her. This week is awful, just hell on earth. Please give your loved ones the biggest squeeze tonight. REST IN POWER YOU ABSOLUTE QUEEN.’"
