Jared Leto paid a glowing tribute to Paris, and Le Bataclan in particular, during a speech at the American Music Awards on Sunday night.

The Oscar-winning actor was introducing Celine Dion on stage when he gave an impassioned speech, recalling the gig he played at the Parisian venue with his band 30 Seconds To Mars.

It’s an emotional story, particularly when he goes on to talk about the victims of the attacks on November 13th that killed 130 people.

“France matters, Russia matters, Syria matters, Mali matters … The entire world matters, and peace is possible,” says the Suicide Squad actor.
