Homenews

This is a bit harsh on Scotland's First Minister Nicola Sturgeon.

She might be thinking of leaving the Union again, but there's no need for this. BBC Breakfast made a rather embarrassing gaffe over the Scottish National Party leader who is lining up a second Independence Referendum following the Brexit vote. It's a huge political story that Scotland may vote to split from the Union again, so they obviously wanted to talk to her about it. But as BBC presenters Charlie Stayt and Naga Munchetty were prefacing their interview with Sturgeon, someone in the video clips department ran a clip of London's escaped gorilla instead. Just as Munchetty was saying 'We're joined by Scottish first minister Nicola Sturgeon...' the images of a rather surly-looking silverback popped up over the top.... https://twitter.com/johnnyTR70/status/786806494314369024 Stayt apologies for the mix up with another segment on Kumbuka, the male gorilla which escaped from his enclosure at London Zoo. You can tell by the look on the presenters' faces that they found the slip-up as funny as we did. They may have thought they got away with it - it was 6.30am after all - but there's always someone watching... https://twitter.com/SarahJRichards/status/786813169528221696 https://twitter.com/MolloyTweets/status/786805420476076032 https://twitter.com/coachingabn/status/786804200894177280 https://twitter.com/FlikeNoir/status/786802268309860352 https://twitter.com/lisbennison/status/786802146335268864 https://twitter.com/David_Duncan12/status/786819958877609984 https://twitter.com/dunglassfinest/status/786820474445660160 https://twitter.com/malcolmcameron7/status/786814292720967680
