After only four years in business a UK housing company has plunged into liquidation.

The housing company, which claimed to be the nation’s leading net zero housing developer, specialized in building carbon-neutral homes.

Pearcroft Homes stated it was “on a mission to build a positive and sustainable legacy for future generations”.

While the winding-up process reportedly began in April 2023, when plumbing and heating supplier Wolseley UK submitted a petition to wind up the company, liquidators were appointed on 8 September 2026.

As per The Herald, a high court order to close the company was issued in October 2023 by District Judge Mantle.

The company’s work “integrates high-quality materials with state-of-the-art sustainable technology” to make homes “eco-conscious havens”, Pearcroft Homes claimed.

The projects “give back to local communities and the environment”, the website said.

Paraskevi Iacovou and Peter Kubik of UHY Hacker Young LLP have been appointed as liquidators, according to the Gazette.

“Creditors who have not yet proved their debts must forward proofs of debt to me”, Iacovou said.

The company had had £404.764 in amounts falling due in one year, as per the most recent financial documents published on Companies House dated up until January 2025.
