His cousin was stabbed on Sunday
After his cousin was stabbed to death earlier this week, boxing powerhouse Tyson Fury said that anyone caught with a knife “needs castrating.”
Fury’s cousin Rico Burton was killed in Altrincham on Sunday after being “stabbed in the neck”, prompting the Gypsy King to call on the government to do a better job.
Speaking to TalkSport yesterday, the 34-year-old sporting legend called for tougher punishments for those caught carrying weapons. Some of his suggestions could arguably ruffle some feathers.
“I just had a cousin murdered.”
“Stabbing someone is one of the most cowardly things you can do.”

“What the government needs to do about this knife crime, anyone caught with a knife or stabbing someone needs castrating,” he said. “It cost as a government too much money to house them in a prison. It costs them £60/70,000 a year to put these scumbags in jail. Castrate the little b******s. Castrate them.”
He continued to say that the UK is “supposed to be one of the safest countries in the world” despite the “little cowards who carry knives and weapons.”
Fury also called for harsher sentences for merely carrying a knife, believing the current maximum of four years just doesn’t cut it. He suggested between five and six years.

Following the death of his cousin, Fury was inundated with messages from celebs and the general public alike.
“Big T I’m so sorry for your loss. @weaponsdownglovesup is doing all we can in the northwest to help! Promise!” wrote MMA fighter Molly McCann, also known as Meatball Molly.
“Sorry to hear this tyson,” wrote X Factor singer Stevi Ritchie.
“So sorry to hear this. My son was stabbed a couple of years ago but he was lucky and is still here to tell the tale. Sorry for your loss. This needs sorting,” one fan wrote, sharing their own experience.
