Tyson Fury and Usyk set to make eye-watering amount of money as purses revealed

The heavyweight duo came up against each other in May with Fury losing for the first time as Usyk was crowned undisputed champion.

The Gypsy King will now be eyeing revenge as they come face to face again on December 21 in Saudi Arabia.

For the first fight back in May, the pair competed for a reported purse of around £115 million.

Fury is understood to have taken home an estimated £85 million of that sum after an agreement was reached for him to take a bigger cut.

Despite winning the contest, Usyk won much less, collecting roughly £30 million.

However, it has been revealed that this time they will compete for much more with the purse estimated to be around the £150 million mark.

That's a whopping £45 million more than their first meeting.

It's not confirmed how the purse will be split on this occasion but Usyk is predicted to take home more as he is now the A-side of the rematch.

The pair have already exchanged words despite over two weeks until the showdown.

Fury recently insisted he will be looking to knock his heavyweight rival out.

In a recent interview he said: "I'm going to roll the dice and it's going to be you or me… best foot forward and swing away. I've never been afraid to get knocked spark out. I've always put it on the line every time.

"There's no secret! I'm going in there to knock you out because I don't think I'm going to get a decision no matter what I do. I don't think I'm going to get a boxing decision, so I'm going to have to take it out of the judges hands like I did in America that time and I've got to get him (Usyk) out of there. Hand on heart, I have to get him out of there to see victory."

The pair came face to face on the DAZN YouTube channel to talk about the rematch and Fury was left baffled by Usyk's comments as the Ukrainian said: "I said 'not run, don't be afraid.' I will not leave you alone again."

Fury responded: "What does that even mean? Don't be afraid… of a boxing match? I've had many boxing matches before and not been afraid. I'm sure you have as well, you've had 300 amateur fights, you're not going to be afraid of a boxing match. I don't really make much of that."

The undercard, which is expected to start around 7pm GMT has also been revealed with Isaac Lowe taking on Lee McGregor first.

Dennis McCann will fight Peter McGrail, Johnny Fisher takes on Dave Allen, Moses Itauma fights Demsey McKean and Serhii Bohachuk faces Israil Madrimov.

The main event is expected around 11.30pm.
