The shooting occurred in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Two men and two women have now been arrested in connection to the shooting.
The Nottinghamshire Police officer was shot in the foot, as he approached two suspects at a bus stop in Angel Row, on Sunday morning at 4.50am.
Nottinghamshire Police said that “the suspects fled the scene immediately afterwards, prompting detectives to launch an investigation to identify and locate those involved.”

Among them was a 27-year-old woman, who was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life. A 24-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman were also arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.”
“In a separate development, officers stopped a vehicle in Bedfordshire in the early hours of this morning (19 October), where a 30-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.”
“All four suspects remain in police custody where they continue to be questioned by detectives”.
“The cordon in Angel Row has now been lifted, although a visible police presence will remain in the area to provide reassurance to members of the public and local businesses.”
According to Nottinghamshire Police, the male officer “remains in hospital and is in a stable condition. He and his family continue to be supported by specially-trained officers.”
