"We are in the very early stages of the investigation and while I understand how shocking the news of this incident must be for neighbours of the two people involved, and other local residents, I can reassure them we are putting all our efforts into establishing the circumstances surrounding their deaths."Police said that they are treating it as a "firearms incident" and have closed off the scene for forensic examination. A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service Trust said:
"We got a call at 12.08am and sent two ambulance crews, a rapid response vehicle and an ambulance officer. "There were two patients but sadly there was nothing that could be done for them and they were declared dead at the scene."
