‘Everyone is praying Yazmin makes some sort of recovery’
The Only Way is Essex’s Yazmin Oukhellou was involved in a “furious argument” with boyfriend Jake McLean minutes before the pair were in a car crash that claimed his life, reports suggest.
After leaving a restaurant in Turkey on Sunday, the 32-year-old and McLean went over a cliff near Bodrum. McLean, 33, was killed and Oukhellou left with “very serious” injuries.
According to a “source” who spoke to The Sun, Oukhellou and McLean were arguing “in front of everyone”, though the exact nature of the argument was not revealed. While the scene got “extremely heated”, both the reality stars left together and “got into their car straight from the venue.”
“Everyone is praying Yazmin makes some sort of recovery,” the source added.
McLean was believed to have been driving the car at the time of the crash.
Emergency services responded, but McLean was pronounced dead at the scene. Oukhellou was rushed to the hospital, where, according to a spokesperson, she is undergoing surgery.
“Yazmin is stable and recovering in hospital after surgery,” her representatives told The Mirror. “Yazmin and her family have requested privacy at this time.”

McLean was reportedly carrying out business in Turkey at the time, though friends were not sure of the exact details.
One Towie castmate explained: “Nobody is quite sure what they were doing out there. We thought they’d split up. But apparently he was involved in some sort of business deal. But whatever’s gone on, this is just heart-breaking. We hope to get a proper update on how she is soon. But it sounds very, very serious — perhaps life-changing.”
Another castmate said the news is “beyond shocking” for everyone connected to the popular reality TV show.
They added: “Jake and Yaz are both very well known in our circles, and while he wasn’t a saint this is just unbelievably tragic. Everyone is stunned.”
