There’s even footage of the fight circulating on social media

A massive brawl involving 60 people on a cruise ship happened because of an alleged threesome, an eyewitness has claimed.

The incident allegedly took place on the Carnival Magic cruise ship to New York on Tuesday, June 28.

Speaking to Fox News, Theresa James, who is a travel agent, said the fight broke out on the ship’s fifth floor just before 2am, where the dance club and casino are situated.

The travel agent said approximately 60 people fought for around an hour, although it apparently wasn’t physically for the entire time.

A couple of videos on social media show multiple people involved in a brawl on a cruise ship.

And according to James, it was an alleged threesome between passengers that caused the argument to start.

Beer bottles were smashed and one woman could have been cut in the fight, according to the witness.

James did, however, give Carnival credit, and said the situation could have been a lot worse if it wasn’t for the security team. She described the the guests involved as “ignorant fools acting stupid.”

Despite the chaos, the ship eventually arrived in Manhattan as scheduled. Of course, New York Police officers were waiting to talk to passengers after being made aware of the brawl.

No injuries were reported and no weapons were involved, police and the cruise company confirmed.

A statement from Carnival said: “Last night while Carnival Magic was returning to New York, a number of guests were involved in an altercation in a nightclub. Thankfully no serious injuries were reported and our onboard security team intervene.

“The ship arrived as scheduled this morning and shoreside law enforcement authorities were notified and met the ship to interview suspects and witnesses and conduct an investigation.”
