It is not being treated as a terror-related incident
Three people have been stabbed in broad daylight in an attack near Liverpool Street station in east London.
Police said it was an ongoing situation on Thursday morning.
It was not being considered as a terror-related, according to City of London Police.
In a tweet they wrote: “We received reports of three stabbings & a person pushed to the floor on Bishopsgate at 9.46am & officers arrived at the scene at 9.51am.
“Three victims were taken by LAS to a nearby hospital to be treated. This is an ongoing situation, but is not being treated as terror-related.”
A major police response is under way and the area around Bishopsgate has been cordoned off, Sky News reports.
Unverified footage shared in social media appears to show a man being apprehended outside Liverpool Street station.
Three people were stabbed and a fourth person was pushed to the floor at 9.46am. Officers arrived at the scene by 9.51am.
Other footage shows emergency services outside the station.

Nickie Aiken, Cities of London and Westminster MP, said she was “concerned” about the attack.
She tweeted: “Concerned to learn of the incident in Bishopsgate. I’m in contact with City Police for updates.
“My thoughts are with all those involved including the first responders.”
