In the early years of the millennium, Nokia phones were all the rage.

Aside from texting and calling, you could also waste away your day playing brilliantly addictive games such as Snake.

Unlike today’s relatively flimsy mobile phones, the Nokias had a reputation for being pretty robust. Drop one of these on the pavement and you’d check the floor for damage instead of the phone.

To illustrate just how resilient these phones were, YouTube channel carsandwater decided to drop a burning-hot ball of nickel on top of one… just to see what happened.
